Three Word Wednesday Poem

Bone, the moderator of Three Word Wednesday says: each week, I post some words. People write things using the words. Then they comment here. Feel free to join in this energetic meme!
These are the current prompt words:
Empty
Highway
Ignored

Tonight, Poetry Super Highway begins its annual free-for-all. For 24 hours you can download free poetry books by some really fine poets. You'll probably recognize some of the names!

I empty April into
the basin of yesterdays
ignore its rapid passing

panic grass dots the highway
a blurred and gray horizon
lures me toward tomorrow

I agree with paisley! Emptying April into a basin of yesterdays is a very strong image.

Also the highway luring you toward tomorrow.

Great writing.

BTW, I have already dowloaded your collection. I'm waiting for school to be out to read it.

I have an image of some mystic Indian pouring April into a huge "bottomless"? basin!

Just lovely!

Past, present, future came to mind when I read those lines. You're gifted to share your thoughts with words lined in this manner.
