Home Invasion

Totally Optional Prompts for today: Regional Poetry

cuddled by rising forests
the valley floor,

criss-crossed by streams
stippled by glacial lakes,

yields to look-at-me roofs
contrived basalt cascades

ancient pines stockpiled
on Italian marble hearths

panes flash from naked hills
while the moon looks away

Atmospheric. You captured the place perfectly.

one of the most wonderful things about living where i do.. is no one can build anything for thousands of acres surrounding my home... my dad is a builder,, i grew up in "development houses" and i am ever so thrilled to say i may very well never have to look at one... let alone live in one ever again....

this was an excellent voice... very original...

I especially like the contrast between the two. Plus the use of stippled.

I love:
"yields to look-at-me roofs"

And your watercolor, as always, makes me a big jealous of your talent! Beautiful.
