Shine

Doppler watchers
say the sun
will shine today
but sensors keep
outdoor lights
brightly lit
on this double gray
December day.
It's sure to be late
before the sun
can find its way
through pressing clouds.
Standing by
the window,
I watch and wait.

Our *gray days* haven't decended upon us yet. They usually come in January and February to the TX coast. I don't look forward to them.

Beautiful picture and poem.

Lovely image!!! Our gray day is not likely to sunshine at all as it's already 2:40pm and all remains dismal with no hint of sunshine.
Hugs and blessings,

What a neat image! We've been having some sun here in Oregon, which is fairly remarkable this time of year, and I love it!

Great picture, and I feel that longing for the sun, too.
Beautifully described.

Lovely! And I needed it today as it is very dark, and drab here in Toronto.

Delightful poem, very appropriate here in Vancouver.
