Tanka for Big Tent Poetry

From a plethora of prompts, I chose this...Write about feathers and stilettos (but no person can be wearing them).

balanced on the edge
she knifed the tether of loss
strode strong and certain
the crow's feather swept her tracks
removed footprints of the past

I loved the pairing of art and words - but I have to say, after reading your poem, the artwork seemed to meld into the poem (or is it the other way around?) ☼

Brava!

I have been trying my hand at the digital art. I always like coming to your site because of how well you nurture the senses. Love the poem, as well.

Jingle has honored me with a lovely award. I would like to pass this on to you. I don't know if you accept awards, but, you inspire me with your words and art.

You can pass it on to 20 others if you wish.
