Pocked - I love it! I was trying to get to that word and it evaded me. I guess I wasn't supposed to use it in my poem. It works and is wonderful in yours.

Heh, nifty comparison... it does look rather like the batter once you've had it on the griddle for a bit. Maybe that's how it formed in the first place... billions upon billions of gallons of batter.
