Tanka for Magpie Tales #63

Magpie Tales offers an enigmatic image on a weekly basis to elicit words from writers. Number 63:

wild flowers blossom
in the distant Pleiades
vivid fractal hues
bright baby stars whirling free
claimed by astral nurseries

Tanka is one of my favorite short forms, especially when handled as adroitly as here. An imaginative and creative take on the prompt.

Sue,
Now that you mention it. The gallaxy does resemble a giant flower garden. Nice.

Thank you.

I love the imagery of "baby stars claimed by astral nurseries." Looking up at the night sky or seeing the images from Hubbel Scope is more than the mind can imagine. Your poem is so beautiful that I can almost touch the universe.

This is lovely, Tumblewords. I like how you've woven stars and flowers together to create an image; beautiful.
