I don't know much about wine except that it looks like summer in a glass. Two sips make my nose numb and stop my brain.
A daughter and her hubby make wine and watching the process creates a craving for a taste of their newest blend.
Maybe with the next batch, I'll learn a little oinomancy or divination using wine.
Are you an oenophile?

Summer in a glass. That's beautiful.
Wine does the same thing to me too.
Love your picture of the huckleberries. Very artsy.
Great words, but I'm not a wine drinker - more beerpoetic ;-)
I had to look up oenophile, though I would have guessed correctly I wasn't absolutely sure. The answer: I enjoy wine, but I am not a connoisseur. :)
I like the white wines, especially somewhat dry, but I would not call myself an oenophile.

Ah, yes! Summer in a glass! Perfect! I do enjoy wine and it's a lovely way to wind down my day! Fun post and great word for the O Day!

A word I've never heard, maybe I've never even seen it! Good choice for O.

Neat shot. It makes me thing this is what ambrosia looked like on Olympus...
Nope, but I do love the way it looks in a glass.
I most certainly am, I love a glass or two with my dinner and will have a glass for whatever reason and none. No spirits though and beer only occasionally.
I do not make the wine but I sure do enjoy drinking the wine, nectar of the gods.
Very interesting word.
An unusual choice and very clever, - love your description - summer in a glass. Some wines are like that, and then there are the rich ones that warm us in winter.
i love oen! :)
Oh so beautiful!
A Splash of Orange made my ABC this week, come and see. Thank you!
Most certainly, I am a certified oenophile!
I drink a glass of wine every evening before supper. I never heard of this word. You teach us the new words . I hope I can remember this one. My Dutch daughter and her friend like beer. I don't.
Have a nice week!
I'm the opposite! Wine does nothing for me. I always end up asleep or with a headache. So I suppose I a oenophobe.
Great words for O and what fun to watch wine being made.
oh I only drink red wine after meal but not too often.
The summer glass is cute.
Happy ABC Wed. Mine is @ Mom's Place
Yes I can get very poetic after a few glasses. I love fruit berries just as much as wine, so I would be spoilt for choice which glass to go for.
What a lovely way to describe it - summer in a glass! One glass of red wine at dinner is enough for me. Great new word!
Beautiful images... summer in a glass sounds wonderful. Not really a wine person either... but the idea of the richness of flavors does make it seem intriguing.
Thanks for your feedback over at my place.
I love the phrase "summer in a glass." I do enjoy wine and am lucky to have a husband who knows how to find good stuff that's reasonably priced. I also love poking fun at people who fancy themselves wine experts, but who aren't. I had a good time with this very topic in Vintage Wisdom.
