Like the others I love the subtlety of the phrase "mourning of blue rain"!

Love the first one, but the second puts a stronger image in my head.

I thought of the blue poppies grown up in the PNW when I the first.

Sue, I believe blue rain is the best for mourning. I always remember the dying scene of will Hemmingway's 'Farewell to Arms' movie. I am sure that dreary non-ending rain was blue.

Your watercolor is gorgeous. I think of summer mourning as a moment of realizing things are not new and young anymore.

Your first haiku is my favorite as it allows a picture to form of grieving in the rain.
