I especially love the first haiku -- I can see someone sitting alone on an old porch looking out at the horizon, maybe an old dog lying next to him or her. And the second haiku brings in gentle scents of lavender. Really nice, Sue!

Sue, I find the second calming. The first, I agree with Crafty Green Poet, is was haunting, my favorite.
