August Hush

Untouched by knowing
warm silence waits, holds
like amniotic fluid,

stillness bursts, rewrites tempo,
cones fall from distant limbs and
sound misses listening ears.

Breeze crawls in drying leaves,
warm silence waits and holds
untouched by knowing.

This has an incantatory quality and I love the circularity.

I sense Winter in the unknowing, there beneath it all, waiting, waiting.

Nice photo and wonderful poem--the image of the breeze crawling in drying leaves is especially nice.

This nagged at my heart, I was reading into it, the first verse, especially.

Irfanview touched the silence while the breeze crawled. Couple of my favorites there. Nice tempo, Sue.
