A for ABC Wednesday

A for ABC Wednesday

Abozzo is a preliminary sketch and Art is a varietal word for which  Wikipedia offers a wonderful definition. Like a fine wine, art has personal taste or undefined liking.

My preference in art relies on color with texture (readily seen in my watercolor banner) and avoids photographic style even though I love great photos, many of which are found here on ABC Wednesday.

This computer painting was produced in fairly short order last night using the Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet and Adobe Photoshop Elements. Different from that which I usually doodle, this one has a character I like so I can call it art.

Finding it interesting to 'paint' on the computer, I also find it very difficult to do, albeit much cleaner with no brush washing and such which leaves more time for daydreaming.

Do you design arts/crafts using computer software? Do you find it easier or more difficult?

That's fascinating! I'm about the most UN-artistic person you will ever know, can't draw a straight line even with a ruler, so I'm fascinated by anyone who can create art in any way. This is terrific and a great post for the A Day! Hope to see some more of your art work in the future! Have a great day!

Enjoy the computer art too but it is a different kind of fun.
The brush art looks gorgeous and color shades according to what your eyes say.

This is something I've never tried, but you do it beautifully.

Amazing! I love your work. That you've created it using software instead of hardware is astounding.

Beautiful painting.

I know an artist, a very successful artist, who uses a computer for drawing. I didn't know a computer could also be used for painting. Yours is beautiful, and it does have character, so I agree it is art!.

Computer does not particularly help.

I haven't created "art" with a brush, pencil or canvas for years. All my designing is done on the computer now. Sometimes I miss it, sometimes not. This is really lovely. Thanks for sharing.

I've never done anything like your painting on the computer. It's beautiful but it looks too hard for me. I'm technically challanged.

Interesting indeed. Have to admit though, that until now it remains way too difficult for me 'to paint' with my computer; love the smell of colour still too much as well. Please have a good Wednesday.

I've never tried to paint on the computer, but my daughter Thyme did and she is very good at it. You are amazing doing this and writing haikus as well!

I love that "painting" hard to believe you could make it on the computer. One would think it took hours of messy painting. very nice. I think it is very calming.

This was a wonderful post for the A word. I have tried to paint on the computer in the past but not lately.

Beautiful painting! Looks so soft and dreamy. Editing photos is about as creative as I get.

This is so pretty! I keep promising myself that I will attempt computer art but I can't see it being any more worthwhile than my ordinary 'art';-)

Great choices for A. I love art - the actual messing around with paints, etc. I've never tried digital art. Love your creations!

Very good choice for the letter A! I could have chosen it too as I like art so much. I dream of finding the time to get more interested in digital art.

Dear Sue,
Thank you for visiting my A-post! You are first commenter and get an extra link!
Love the computer painting. I thought it was a real painting at first.
Yes, I have done all sorts of painting all my life. It was also been part of my profession, even if I do not have time for it now, while the children are still relatively small. But I have always done it the old-fashioned way and not yet on a computer.

I like the poem too. I am not a very good poet. But amazingly, my cat Sara writes a rhyme or two, from time to time!
Best wishes,
Anna

I have never painted anything using softwares on computers...
I like it..but first I want to better myself in the pencil and brush sphere...

Love your work :)

Nice job! Hmmmm, do I find it easier or more difficult? no. Just different. It's a different toy to play with that behaves differently than a brush would. Not as tactile, but certainly a fun way to explore possibilities.
