The Sunday Scribblings prompt: Miscellaneous. Here are four American Sentences that I wrote in the last few days, prompted by life and snow. Mini-scribblings plus a fractal.
American Sentences:
Wise turkey draped in peacock drag to escape the butcher's chopping block.
Snow falls all night, morning's pseudo drivers scatter cars from left to right.
The one thing that stands between me and death is a smattering of life.
The ocean reminds me that much is infinite and much more is not.

Love the last two especially! Very perceptive comment on the ocean!
As we are practically neighbors, the snowfall here has continued unabated for over 24 hours. Your second sentence hits home as I watch cars swerve outside my window. I love the sentence about the ocean as well.
Beautiful - I love the phrase "smattering of life".
"a smattering of life" ...what a great phrase.
I love all your sentences :)
I loved those! So great, and the fractal, even greater!!
I love reading your words, and staring intently at your fractals.
Thanks for visiting "my place" and leaving some love for my scribblings... Have a great week!
loved those...especially the one about the ocean...
it gets me thinking along those very same lines :)
Simply stunning!
I always love your writing. Your images are vivid.
I love the first one about the clever turkey, and the fractal's peacock feather look complements it beautifully.
"Wise turkey draped in peacock drag to escape the butcher's chopping block." Okay, I'm getting a visual here!! Of course that's how my mind works! Hate to think of that third one being true!! Well done, wise one!
Hugs Sherrie
Lovely! The first one got me laughing, and the fractals are stunning as well. Have a great week, Sue!
Number 2 is scary for me, unless I'm safe at home. Fresh snow is so beautiful and peaceful. However, driving on it is so deadly dangerous, especially when the slush refreezes as the sun goes down. It is an American sentence, especially for us northerners.
Thanks for the comments Ms T. Your sentences, especially the second one. The third one made me think of a John Lennon quote 'Life is what happens when your busy making plans' When I picture Oceans and infinity I think of waiting for the Turtle to pierce the golden ring. I thought of one just now I'd like to share with you.
Old dogs don't need new tricks to procure the treat.
I really like these -- the last two really resonate with me.
The fourth one is my favorite, but all of them are great.
I like this way of making poetry, very creative and insightful sentences.
I like the first one best. I too find American sentences cool!
Arty? Not me!!
I like them all!
I love these sentences. . .a peacock in drag, psuedo drivers, smattering of life. The last one actually took my breath away.
These made my day--thanks!
