Ink

linen sheets
thin wavy dark lines
drawing love

anger expelled
a spill of black ink
reduced to ashes

mortar and pestle
paper, ink stick and water
the day disappears

This is the end of the road for One Deep Breath. Sorry to see it go as it has been a fine and valuable site.

It's nice someone gave them a poetic goodbye.

that last one makes me think about the hours that just dissipate into no where when i am working on a particularly challenging piece... this was beautiful.. one and all....

You have captured the different ways ink can express what we feel and how it is used. I also agree with lissa: a farewell song. Our submission can be found here. Thank you for visiting.

They are all lovely. I hope the scheme to continue ODB goes through as I would be sorry to miss the creative fireworks each week.

I like them all but the second is my favourite for the image it evokes.

All lovely but that last one is just about the best haiku I've ever read......amazing. Sorry to hear they are closing.

Just simply beautiful. It is a very emotional piece and I enjoyed it greatly. Thank you.

I particularly relate to the second - the way ink can be so dark, so final, those blots, so angry. Well noticed.

All really lovely. I am pulled in by the first to the next until the last. Wonderful.

I loved especially the second one. the imagery of liquid spill and ashes is an excellent contrast.
