Poem for Sunday Whirl #62

Thanks, Brenda, for the Sunday prompt.

Ghosting Smoke

the scent of jasmine unfurls,
whistles down old demons
voodoo traps those ample flaws
set free in her domain
and from a rear window
she spots the ghostly montage
where a flameless sunset burns
through the smoke of jasmine

♥     ♥     ♥

 The wordles:
jasmine, granite, whistle, demons, domain, scrap, ample, trapped, montage, flawed, window, sunset

Deft wordling indeed. "Rear window" made me think of Hitchcock.

Haunting even while concise. Vivid images you have found in the words.

Really enjoyed this one... especially:

whistles down old demons
voodoo traps those ample flaws

Very atmospheric. Reminds me of Haiti or, New Orleans with the voodoo.
Great imagery :)

You're still at it big time. Of course! Tracked a B&N advert to a book called Tumbleweeds and it jogged me to Tumblewords, to where I dug a flameless sunset burning through the smoke of jasmine. : )

Nicely done! I love when the ending echoes the beginning...as yours does. Beautiful write.

This reminds me of a Discovery program I watched about a Voodoo Priestess. I can see her sitting comfortably with a wry and knowing grin.
You might enjoy my shorter entry this week called 'Crust'
