Follow for Sunday Scribblings

Sunday Scribblings asks: Tell us your take on 'follow.'

Follow. I do. I am. To stay home and learn what others are doing, thinking and saying is a daily pleasure. Blogger follow works well in Google Reader and Twitter, which I initially joined to make sure I 'saved' my name, is a minute by minute surprise. It's turned into a great source of information and blog updates that I might otherwise miss. Facebook - I joined to follow updates for an anthology but haven't used it for anything else.

A lot of people use followings to promote or market but this is my first attempt ~~ Monday, if I can figure the technical part, I'll put a sticky post on Blogger and send a daily Tweet asking a vote for Sofia #190 who's in the top 20 contestants for the Baby Idol Contest presented by Spokane Radio KZZU 92.9.

It will be interesting to see if following can actually have a serious use. :)

Oh, what fun it all is!

The digital photo of Sofia #190 was snapped by her mother and forwarded to me by her grandma. I'm smitten and hope to follow her for a long time!

Oh, she is such a doll!

Yes, I've replaced one addiction with another. Blogging is so much more fun, though!

I'm going to have to look into that Google reader thing and rss feeds, etc.

I have a Twitter account but have never used it. I guess I just don't get it. But should probably give it another try.

Ah, following is such a fundamental thing on the net. We're all following every one else. Who's doing the leading?

What a cutie. Yes we are all followers yet we are also leaders with our own blogs :)

Yeah, difficult to get my head round all this following stuff - you just seem to figure something out and then you're bombarded with loads more information - I never thought of following your blog, because I come here about three times a week anyway, but I have noticed in the past that I've missed some of your good posts, so here goes, I'm sticking myself up as a follower, I guess you can always delete me if you don't like my face! -Andy

I am bad about following things I love, but am trying to do better, maybe I will follow your strategy.

And Sofia is adorable.

What an adorable face!!! Following what others are saying is a daily pleasure for me, also. In fact, sometimes I spend a lot more time than I should...oh, well.

I must check into Google reader and learn more about Twitter.

Enjoyable post, as always!
