Paradox Haiku

promise in autumn
distant row of brown garden
tufts of brilliant green

bald eagle
grasps post-spawn salmon
... lake gleaner

street sweepers
too late for fall leaves
winter soup

choice reluctant
which wish should he want
gray shiftless day

All of these bring vivid pictures to my mind. I love the winter soup... but i really connect with them all.

The eagle and salmon. Did you see the article about the giant salmon they found in OR? It was nearly five feet long.

Very vivid, especially the green tufts in the garden!

I love them all. I waded through some of that soup in Waterbury over the weekend. I kind of like it!
