Grateful

This link will take you to the Feast of Thankfuls which I wrote before I became mostly serious.

How many ways can I say grateful and for how many things? Each day I give thanks for family, first, followed by a current list which doesn't always fall in an orderly fashion.

Today, I was grateful to have reached the NaNoWriMo word count.

Today I was grateful for blogs and bloggers, for readers and writers, for a peek at the sunset, for not falling off my treadmill, for a spider slow enough to be captured and sent outside to spin.

Grateful to be sheltered, not hungry, with a bed to sleep in and with the luck that keeps me from being on the street.

Grateful that some of us are physically removed from war. I'm grateful to those who serve and those who care. For those who learn and those who dare. Always, I'm grateful that the worst hasn't happened. And then I fear it may have happened to someone, somewhere today.

May I wish you all a long list of gratefuls and a delightfully warm and generous holiday.

The above is in response to: Sunday Scribblings prompt: Grateful

I love the comment about not falling off the treadmill and a spider slow enough to be captured and sent outside.

Such a warm heart you must have to worry that the worst has happened to someone else. It is so wonderful for us to be grateful for what we have, but it takes a truly amazing person to have concerns for others. Loved the post! Hope you have a wonderful and blessed holiday!

It doesn't have to be a 'special' thing to justify gratitude. I'm with you - I often find my self offering sincere gratitude for the simple things in life.

I've tried to make a list, and you've seen there are too many things to be listed to be grateful for...

This is lovely..not too sentimental but capturing perfectly things that bring joy.
I love the line
'grateful for....those who learn and those who dare...
Those who go before us give us much to learn from and be grateful for.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Bella :)

I can so relate to your list and that it changes daily. The treadmill and spider, writers and readers, those who learn but also all of you who teach and show us how to look at things a different way—Thank-you!

What a great list. We often don't realise how lucky we are and how rich we are Having enough to eat and peace and freedom are such treasures we should be grateful for
Have a great day

I love the artful way that you have woven big and small things for which to be grateful and the focus on a single day. I wish the spider that scurries around my laptop would slow down enough for me to capture him and evict him from the house, but this old house has two many cracks into which he can dash and hide. I think he wants to be the BUG in my computer!

It was an enjoyable post.

How can we maintain an awareness of all that we have and all that we don't have to live and suffer through? Is the answer gratitude? I enjoyed your piece very much.

Thanks for all the wishes! Wish you also a long list of gratefuls. There are so many endless things in life for which we all are grateful. The smallest things only give big happiness.
