Cusp of Sunday ~ Sunday Scribblings

Sweet scent of sunlight
dances tango on my hip,
dapples spun by curdled clouds
tattoo my croning feet.

Behind a flimsy veil
Cassandra sings eternity.
I turn my back
glide deeper into dance.

Sunday - Watercolor by Sue from Gallery
Dance ~ Prompt by Sunday Scribblings
Cusp of Sunday was previously published in North of Summer available in bookstore and T-Zero Magazine
On the Cusp of Sunday is an older poem but felt appropriate for both the day and prompt.

You made the words dance in this poem!

Hmmm, let's see...Cassandra could foresee the future, but was helpless to change it, correct? And this poem is about being in the moment, enjoying it in its purity, in spite of time marching on. Lovely.

Love the poem and the painting. To me, the painting looks like a ship out to sea. Very dreamy like the poem.

Oh how I love this image, the croning feet negated by turning your back on Cassandra, choosing to take your own time, not to give in to the inevitable.

Really wonderful.
