a humpback moon
flows
over powdered peaks
unlocking shadows
from ancient pitted
stones
fragile petals cling
to a staff of cane
lost souls call out
love is written but
not read
and while she walks
alone
the humpback moon
draws night from
stone

Happy Easter

The most poignant line:
"Love is written but not read"
Awhirl with Richard Wright
Evocative words of loss and hope. I think so many times we bring forth dreams in our writing.
