Chimes for Sunday Whirl #93

Thanks, Brenda, for the prompt:

chimes scatter in the early mist
chatter in an eerie scale
notes curve tattered and edgy

beyond where straw skirts
the field and mirrored lights
rise to seek the raw dawn

small against the vast sky
she covers her eyes and ears
and hungers as a mother must

In the ending an animal rises. Clever and effective. It made me read the piece again through the animal's eyes. This is quite beautiful.

Such a powerful piece in so few words - impressive ... I had to read it over a few times myself before I got the perspective correct ... very nice

I really like notes curving tattered and edgy... and the ending is superb.

Raw indeed where everyday is a struggle to survive and doubly so to provide for the young ones as well. So easy to picture this as I read it.
