Cloud 9 for The Sunday Whirl

Thanks, Brenda, for the Wordle prompt!

once upon a time
that number showed up missing
smooth and white
refreshed but with a trace of wild
a cloud by any name
its final gear bared
by last year's hasty shift
no evidence, no notice
once upon a time
cloud nine went missing

Playful piece with a sad turn. ;) That poor lost cloud gets me thinking of unrequited love.

Such clouds can be useful, but not so healthy for the long haul......

Everyone, including cloud nine, must have a bit of mystery and some wildness within. Life would be so dull without those things. I like the playfulness you found in these words,
