Runaway for Sunday Whirl #61

Thanks, Brenda, for the Sunday Whirl Prompt.

Runaway

drafting on the wings
of a discontented current
one day of exile
sundered free of cracks
from unbound tempers
or the trace of racket

early leaves dapple
shadow-bright
to waft across her face
echoing today's peace
the latch string of song
opens its spare refrain
soothes tomorrow's fears

Without a bit of respite from whatever it is that causes us chaos we'd eventually go mad, wouldn't we?
I'm glad this person discovered some.
A lovely, very vivid write.

I love that she's at peace in the end.
