interesting take... wish all things in life can be reviewed and changed.love it!JJRod'z
Excellent comment on selective memory.♥
My eyes tonight were lazy and on first glance saw "memoir" as "mirror." So, in hindsight, nicely done. My Magpie Tales this week is In Vince’s Car.
when I read "memoir" I too saw mirror- clever you.
Ah, we edit life so well. Great words.
ha if only it changed more than the words on the page....
Wow- so much said in so few words... powerful!
Wow, talk about mind tricks. I too saw, mirror. Brilliant write, Tumblewords.
Oh, would some power the giftie gi' us -- to edit life's errata. :-)
Time to neaten up all those reflections! Very good take...
Definitely in hindsight! thanks.
Thought provoking piece, a delight to read, as always.
I wish we could see our "past" so easily reflected as a car's rearview mirror. Maybe we wouldn't continue making the same mistakes... :)
I wish I had squeaky clean 'mirrors' - mine always look smudgey!A perfect take as always!
I've experienced more than a few of those 'wish I had been guided by hindsight' moments .. nice Magpie!
Wonderful! I know people trying to do just that kind of memoir. Hard sell! K.
"...he edits life's errata" is really nice!
That is fantastic. The hardest part of writing a memoir would be having the guts not to do that!
Wouldn't it be loverly...I like this idea expressed so succinctly in your short verse.
Mirror/memoir, what a productive image! I may steal it, or let's say just pilfer it. Thanks so much for visiting me here in the Blue Ridge of NC. I'd love to come to your neck of the woods someday.
Nice take on selective memory - 'guided by hindsight' - yes...
this i can see - great poem
Elegant encapsulation of the image's multiplicity of viewpoints...
As brilliant as it is succinct.
I read it as mirror too. How clever.
very smart words.bless.
Oh if it were that easy! The skeletons will always be there! Wonderful take - love every line
We spend so much time looking backwards . . . selectively.
