I'll have to stretch this word to encompass my sense of waiting, changing form, shifting shape which now wraps my mind.
I recognize the feeling. In the past, it has indicated a 'treading water' time before a new phase begins. How many times I've done this. But this time, I have not a mind niggle of what comes next. And yet, I know, it will appear. Won't it? :) Tomorrow? It may be nothing more than changing the way I look at something or changing a habit which is no longer working. It could be any number of things. I'll be surprised.
Has this happened to you?

Wonder if I could apply that word to people who have no original thoughts? Hmmmmm...
An Arkies Musings
Interesting idea. I'll have to think about this one.
Sounds like Genesis 1:2 - and the earth wsas void and without form.

Now this was a very interesting take on X. You do find unsual ways to do ABC Wed. Nice job.
I've only ever come across the word used in relation to shape shifting aliens, not that they are amongst us, only in fiction. Nice to hear the real origin of the word, an interesting thought.
Yes, it has, and I agree that is usually the first gimmer of an idea, before it has really formed.
Could you use that word in a sentence for me, please. ; )
Loved the fractal. And, you now have my brain all twisted up into a tangled mess trying to work out xenomorphic...
I'm sorry about having preconceived notions when confronted by something new. It's definitely worth the s-t-r-e-t-c-h to be able to go the X-tra mile in gaining a new understanding...
Really neat post and great take on "X"! And yes... it has.
Great post, - I'm all for being open to change....
I loved the way you handled the X post this week. Very interesting and thought provoking.
It's like a mother waiting for her baby to be born. What will it be? Girl, boy? A healthy child?
Stretch away. I think your feeling pared with the X word definition is perfect. For me, it's feeling "out of sorts."
What a great post for "X" day! One of those words I assumed I knew, but had never really thought about.
Thanks for the visit!

eXcellent choice!
Please come and find out what the Letter X is at my page. Have a lovely day.
It's happened to me, Tumblewords, this fractal shift. Yours is a great name for a blog. I'm pleased to meet you all the way from Australia.
The word xenomorphic sounds more threatening than it really is. Yes, I've experienced this feeling but more as aimlessness, I think.
changing jobs, changing careers, moving house, changing relationships, changing countries, changing my mind =)
