Delete for ABC Wednesday

ABC Wednesday D

This might be my favorite key in the whole wide world.

I'm trying to decide how to transfer it to the sewing machine to eliminate unstitching, to my brain to avoid paths that lead to sorrow or regret and to dust bunnies and stuff that make my home look like a derelict dwells here.

In the meantime, I notice that it looks almost new while the helpful white letters are worn off the other black keys leaving no clue as to what might be produced. The seven-year-old, who dislikes typing on my keyboard, listened to my rapid typing and declared, 'No wonder there aren't any letters - they smoked off!'

Do you love your delete key or do you find it definitely not necessary?

Must be mine, too! I use it often enough! What a hoot! Terrific D for the day and such a fun post! Love having an unexpected reason to laugh in the morning -- well, actually any time! Have a great day! Enjoy!

Sometimes I use the Delete at the wrong time in the wrong places too :( It should be accompanied by "Are you sure" key :D

It's a very popular key, in my experience :-)

Oh, DELETE is my best friend! I'm constantly editing my work. I hark back to the days of "%!#@*!! computer!" and hitting CTRL ALT DEL to reboot.

Glad to see you again! Here's mine, only kind of Dark:

Peace, Amy Barlow Liberatore

I love how your imagination works. If only my delete key would take care of the dust bunnies in MY house. :)

I love the cleansing power of the delete key! Worn or not, we always know it's there, don't we? LOL

I could use that stitch deleter. Andtoday, a snow deleter.

As soon as I finish here, I have to make my shovel smoke!

What an idea, a delete key for everyday life, what a boon. Queues, dust, grey skies, gosh I could go on and on.
I bow to your Great Thought of the day

When you have figured out the 'multi use delete' please may I have one? I could really use it!

Oh you are just too clever. Yes, my delete key and I are very close friends.

A would like a delete key to delete the roll around my middle! HaHa

Well, I see you have some wonderful uses for the Delete key, but I always treat it warily, - too many times I have accidently deleted things that can't be replaced. As Nanka says, - there should always be an 'are you sure' message to accompany it.

Nevertheless, I think your post is pretty inspiring!

Oh, yes~ it's definitely needed! Especially with this new laptop that has a sticky keyboard that makes me have to type slower. Hope you're having a good week.

Oh, maybe a delete key to take the garbage out, and the recycling, too. Maybe especially stuff for recyling, which tends to pile up at our house. "Delete" is the ideal D post for ABC bloggers!

ha ha ha I never really look at the Delete that way before so I guess I must assumed I do, I do, I do love that Delete Key after-all!

UGH! When I saw the picture, I had all negative thoughts -- of the many times I have used it when I didn't mean to. Now after reading all the comments, maybe I should change my attitude towards it.

Delete is a great word for D! I hardly ever use it, for I use backspace to delete wrong words or sentences and then I try to type the right ones instead.

Delete is my friend too. Every word you can delete is worth its weight in gold. So many words that don't carry meaning or add to the poetry of a statement.

I wonder if it would work for certain phases of one's life?!

OK-I think I vote this post as the tops for the letter, "D"!
Where would I be without this function on the keyboard? All of my imperfections would be all too apparent!

P.S. it reminds me of a saying I heard when I was in mid school: "Sorry is not an eraser to erase your life's mistakes with!".

Just give me the delete key...

I am totally jealous of your typign prowess. My RH pinkie is super glued to my BACK SPACE! Sorry, that should have been typing prowess. Now where did I put my gleu solution?

When mistakes progress beyond a simple undo, DELETE is the only option. Great post!

Oh I use that key - especially with control and alt!
Great choice for the week!
