Limerick for Heads or Tails

Skittles at Heads or Tales posts: HEADS - "Down On The Farm" Make any kind of post using "Down on the Farm" as your prompt. Your post should be about things or animals that could be found on a farm.

A Near Limerick

there once was a rancher named Mel
worn thin by his farm in the dell
who in one fit of pith
moved to nearby Corinth
and gave up his hard work from h*ll

That's about all I know first-hand about farms. Well, actually, I guessed at some of it and took a snap of the rest. But I did once see a headless chicken body flopping. Arggh.

Chore by Limerick

Totally Optional Prompts posts:

So, this week let's write about some aspect of chores. Do you hate them like me or do you get a sense of satisfaction when they are completed? Don't forget about the outside chores, too, like mowing the grass and washing the car and shoveling snow if you live in an area where that is a necessity.

A Taste of Limerick

There once was a lady in lace
who refused to cook at her space
when friends came a-calling
they did their fare hauling
fetched it all in a wicker case

Three Word Wednesday

An American Sentence:

Madoff's viral scheme of deception flamed panic and burned common sense.

AND

A Loose Limerick

Once upon a boom and bubble,
in the land of greed and trouble,
there schemed a ponzi crook
whose crass deception took
world wide panic straight to rubble.

Thomg at 3ww Wednesday offers these words for today's prompt: Deception, Panic and Scheme. Follow the links to see what others wrote and to play along with this vibrant meme - a variety of style and talents!

Flim Flam for Poefusion

Poefusion's Friday 5 offered these words: green, snug, snake, boggle, racket. This is a fun meme - feel free to join in...

I attempted my first limerick and came kind of close before I tried a tanka. Obviously, the daily news is getting to me and I couldn't get off topic which is usually easy for me.

**
head divider smirks
snug with his own folding green
forked tongue of this snake
spins out another racket ~
maroon's turned to a boggle

**
top twisted snake of the packet
so snug in a shameful racket
packs deep pockets with green
his forked tongue boggles me
he has earned a crooked jacket
