Food Chain for Sunday Whirl #65

Thanks, Brenda, for another fun and wild wordle prompt!

food chain

his trigger finger plants
a spray of grittled seed
that drops like flicks of hail

another crack of  kernels
swells the row with future

relishing his old refrain
he claims humility
with the gravity of pluck

He sounds like my kind of guy!

He makes me think of a picture I have of my grandfather headed out to the fields. Like what you did with the words very much,

Nothing like the gravity of pluck to keep him going... I miss my grandfather.

I love that last stanza, Susan, and all it suggests.

An enjoyable gardening piece.

It appears that many of us have had grandfathers made of the same 'pluck!' When not at his country home my one grandfather planted a garden a top a three car garage - it was a separate building that was shared by two properties, one he owned and one he rented. The only way up was with a ladder - which he would not allow the grandchildren to climb.

Thanks for your visit.
