Sun Salutation is my favorite yoga movement, although this time of year it could be named snow salutation. I'm not so fond of snow and there's surely not much sun to be found.
I prefer the easy yoga. Simple stretches are good and easy to do. That's my key: Simple and slow.
I credit yoga for my recovery from a two-month battle with pneumonia several years ago which left me unable to stand or walk. A couple of physical therapy visits in conjunction with yoga returned me to the walking state. I don't skateboard now but I never did and I'm sure not planning to learn that sport! It just doesn't fit my simple and slow motto.
Do you stretch with yoga or do you skateboard?

I love doing sun salutations myself! Someone here told me that this one teacher likes to do 140 (I think that's the number or some number of significance to the new year) on New Year's Day. I'm not sure if I can do seven sun salutations!
These are very similar to my morning stretches. No skateboarding for me, though.
I have considered yoga after having such a bad back for so long. Right now I'm doing "Fun and Fitness" which is gentle and not too worrisome for me. Later perhaps I might try yoga, too. Have a super week,

I'm still waiting to see a skateboarding yogi :-)
While I do yoga I really like pilates.
Not very fond of snow either.
Shoes, have a happy Thanksgiving!
Neither but if I did one of them it would be the yoga. And, like you, there's not much sun around to worship at the moment.
I do slow and careful; sometimes I do hard and strained, I always know afterwards. Digging is hard and nothing to do with yoga.
Wise you are to keep off the skateboards!
I've never skateboarded but our son did when he was in HS. I do a little yoga everyday for my back. Love the sun; don't like fog. I'm with you on that.
I used to do yoga. I really should get back to it! :)
