Hanging Hieroglyphs for Big Tent Poetry

Big Tent Poetry offers a wordle with the following: hung, ash-pit, forklifted, boiler, nib, clunk,  hand, awake, resurfaced, passed, lush, cupped

Hanging Hieroglyphs

the myth of ages
passed on by writers' nib

wrinkled hands and quills
resurface a willing globe

awakened near the ash-pit
of lush recollection and

cupped by hunky boilers
forklifts clunk and roil

arousing age-old myths
that never were

This Blog Post is #1000.

 A fractal.

"hunky boilers"?
I'm having fun imagining the possibilities
maybe Mr Peanut's been working out?

A tough wordle-word-- I turned it into potboiler

Sue Ma'am,
Couldn't agree more with that. Old age is a myth. Growing old gracefully is an art. Therefore there's nobody that's getting old. They just get better and no one's stopping them.

Reading (prose and verse) and seeing (art and pictures ) all of the goodness in blog posting is living proof!

Nice construction with those words, Susan. Love debunking the myth of old age...especially now that I meet the criteria.

Clever use of the words. I'm also a hunky chunky boiler. Congratulations on 1000 posts.
What a trooper! May the next 1000 be as interesting.

Congrats on a thousand posts--I can't even imagine a hundred right now. This one was quite entertaining, with an especially creative use of the wordle thingie.

Am I the only one to find this poem strangely erotic? These lines in particular:

cupped by hunky boilers
forklifts clunk and roil

You've written a cracker here!

Really love the ending. "[A]rousing age-old myths /
that never were" perfectly describes what writers do.

hi sue, congrats on your 1k post... yr new header is so mystical, as if a river of flowing fast waters, a forest of tress swaying... beautiful.. our wordle to me shows the image of one writing bent over laboring in imagination is so strong... the fractal reminds me of windswept wheat reflecting a purple sunset..

Your 1000th! Congratulations. So happy to be here to toast you.

Liked your title and how the poem brings us round and round to myths.
