Bolero

Magpie Tales  offers an image for its weekly prompt - follow the link to view this week's image and to write along!

Bolero

one flippant fish
swims to Bolero
in a time-worn rite

partners to a lure
of the painted lady
reaching out to other

fluid tangling
at the edge of space
bubbles into light

its watery nebula
flash frozen
in a single globe

unaware
Bolero loops
again and again

Dear Tumblewords: Love your modernist approach almost minimalist (is that what fractal means?)in concept. Interesting name; Bolero as in Spain. I thought it a spanish vest. Now I know there are also a time-honoured ritual of fish returning (what kind?). Can I guess? Flippant meaning I think Flipper and Flipper was a dolphin. Excellent take as always! Clean and refreshing fractal!

I love your poem and I heard 'Bolero' playing in my head.... I hope you mean Maurice Ravels 'Bolero'? Well anyway -- your lovely poem set the tone for the musical score and I loved it.

Apart from now having to seek out Bolero to familiarise myself - I really like this one. Nice and dense and full of rich images.

Ravel's Bolero, on a loop..beginning, end, the same..so zen! The things poetry lets us see!! Thanks...

SWMBO hates Ravel's "Bolero", I enjoy it. Maybe it's the monotony of my existence! At any rate, nice poem, Tumblewords.
