A for ABC Wednesday

ABC Wednesday offers A for this prompt.

A is for Ashleigh Brilliant.

Wikipedia: Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant (born 9th December 1933 in London, UK) is an author and syndicated cartoonist living in Santa Barbara, California, USA. He is best known for his Pot-Shots, single-panel illustrations with one-line humorous remarks, which began syndication in the United States of America in 1975.  The Wall Street Journal described him in a 1992 profile as "history's only full time, professional published epigrammatist."

I think this man is Awesome. When his Pot-Shots were printed in the local daily rag I invariably read his 17-word daily bon mot with superbly crafted drawings before checking the headlines. Clever man.

Oftentimes, I clipped his posts from the newspaper and taped them to the kitchen window trim so I could re-read them during the week.

Now, I subscribe to his daily post and with a single click I can read, laugh and admire while saving a lot of tape and window trim repainting. Oh, yes. I have most of his books on hand to read on those days when I think the world has lost its sense and its humor.

Please follow the link to see his work. You'll be glad you did!

I must admit that he is unknown in these parts of the world, so I had to follow your link. Definitely a worthy A!

I'm so glad that I finally remembered it was Wednesday, - I got to meet Ashleigh Brilliant through you, and was very amused and impressed. Plan to visit him often, - thanks so much for the link.

I will be back next week with 'B' if I can keep my dates straight and don't get too distracted!

I love this guy ... own all his books and used to use his Pot Shots when I did staff development for educators long ago. Thanks for the memories. Methinks I'll find his section of my bookshelf and revisit him (perhaps checking the link too) ... just because.
Hugs and blessings,
