Currents

modern radio vibrates
in my pajama pocket

tiny buds fill my ears
compensate for offbeats

turned loose by local juvey
current battle of the bands

*

modern radio
cannot compensate
for old-time music

*
earphones and a stick
compensate for huge speakers
modern radio

Today's Fractal
Today's 3WW prompt: Compensate, modern, radio

I agree wholeheartedly! A fun write!

This was interesting.

And yeah, modern radio just doesn't seem to compete, does it?

It's so true. The so called modern radio has shrunk the talent until it's barely tolerable.

I so miss my old Mission speakers which died after 23 good years--took me six months of checking speakers to find the perfect ones

Now, digital is digital is digital--can play with "concert" "jazz" etc but....

Loved the beat to the poem--very great for radio and music. The image is wonderful also

These were fun today. And I absolutely love the fractal and the colors you chose.

I agree. I really hate the ear phones.

You have hit the nail on the head!

Perhaps nothing symbolizes today more than ear buds :)

Well done.

I especially liked your first poem, Tumblewords. I guess because I always have my iPod's earphones in my ear. Nice job. Keep up the good work. Your fractal is a perfect fit.

Have a nice day.

such a fun read with lots of truth about the 'modern' aspect of thing.

I agree. I am now at the age where new technology doesn't excite me. I am starting to miss the old, simpler way of doing things.

Ah, they just do not make 'em like they used to...very nice image,

Great perspective, but you have to admit that there's something to be said for carrying your entire music collection around in a box the size of a pack of playing cards.

dont you hate when you see people walking around that have one earpiece stuck in their ear because its to much trouble to just turn it off to talk to someone!!! I hate that!
