the last scarlet leaf drops
barren limbs yield
to malaria of psyche
join in Demeter's grief
immobile on the
white screen of theater
until Persephone returns
incalescence of spring green

Beautiful. Simply beautiful. 'barren limbs yield
to malaria of psyche' is perhaps my favorite. And, your watercolor is very fitting. Keep up the good work.
Have a nice evening.
I may not come here as often as i should but every time I come here I am always pleasantly surprised.
How, oh how, did you manage to be so pithy with those five???????? This is absolutely beautiful.
That's a resourceful utilisation of the appointed words. Quite a challenge.
You are good!
My goodness, your poetry and your imagination just wow me! Your watercolors always bring me right in too. I also am already looking towards spring. Winter can be so long.

You did a great job with the five words! I like the references to mythology and the seasons. I'm impressed with how you incorportated the words in such a fresh way. They fit naturally where you used them.
This is absolutely fantastic Sue, what an informative poem, a beauty of a post, you have such talent, I am glad we encountered in this cyber world. Thank you.
Thank you for your encouragement on my mural. I came to say thank you for that, and now will say thank you for your poetry.
