Writes of Mother Nature

Dear Residents,

Tomorrow will be cloudy. Cloudy with rain. Great heavy gray sheets of rain. Rain enough to rehydrate a mummy. There will be flash floods. Jagged gashes will split the sky and fill the air with the single sound of a thousand drums.

You have been whining about lack of rain. You have been forecasting a big year for wildfires.

Tonight, your weather forecaster will consult his doppler and chase his tail around the map in pursuit of flashing colors. He will generously promise sunshine tomorrow. He believes. He and his machine are wonderful playthings. He is such a fool, but he should fool with someone else.

Tomorrow will be cloudy with rain and rain.

Love,
Mother Nature

This is such a good entry I love it. I love the fact that mother nature truly is in control of all the elements of our weather and not the silly weatherman and his play toys.

Great personification here. I almost was feeling a flood. Kind of reminds me of a biblical happening. Great piece of writing and one I enjoyed reading!!!

When mother nature decides to takes things into her own hands, we better watch out. Really nice. Thank you.

I love it! I wonder if we'll even get our security deposit back when Mother Nature decides our lease is up.

Is there a letter just like this, waiting in my mailbox??? Brilliant, the sparkle of raindrops, in image and word...

I like it when it rains, hate people when they complain against the rains.

I love the picture you chose for this piece. But, I have to say you certainly captured the moment here. The weather man never knows to any degree what the weather will be for that day. Nice job. Keep up the good work.
