Lens of the Past
neither light nor dark
no color at play
the queer time of mind
the bleak phase of day
a hiccup in life
reaching into the gray
she draws on familiar
a memory of old
to add light to
that bleak phase of day
The image is a digital photo of a glass ball created from Mt. St. Helen's ash. Photographed in slanted sunlight, manipulated in Digital Image Suite, resized and buttoned in Irfanview. Initially my camera and I were 'fisheye' reflected in the center section. A couple of quick swipes disappeared me but they aren't the swipes that appear most obvious. :)

Reaching into the gray, what a vivid line, among others. I enjoyed this very much.
Flavorful and loaded with great lines.
Well done!
This was excellent. Poignant.
Enjoyed this thoroughly. You used the prompt words especially well!!
I love the different colours reflected nicely onto the transparent glass.

What a great piece. I agree with Thom: 'Reaching into the gray' was my favorite.
This is beautiful. My favourite line was "a bleak phase of day" ~ I enjoyed the repetition.
isn't it great when our minds create something artful on these bleak of days? beautifully written.
