Deja Vu

scent spun from a lilac
wraps me in forewarning
lucid as hindsight
familiar and unknown

Kokopelli fronts
the lurking karma
false as fool's gold
in a negative rainbow

my view goes tilty
an underwater mirror
fast-forward future
fuses to the past

Fractal created in Apophysis.

Interesting tensions of opposites. Perhaps the most dramatic, for me, was "negative rainbow".

There is both a feeling of frustration and acceptance in the poem.

Lovely psychological exploration.

the sense of smell is an amazing memory breaker... this was excellent in every way...

wraps me in forewarning
lucid as hindsight

i have smelled this before something from the past that i could never have reproduced on my own... but the moment i smelled it.. i knew...

I call it reflective rainbow...

dancing comes full circle

there is a controlled power to your writing here...to me it is not delicate but dynamic, tough-skinned and rough-hewn almost...
(I may well be in a minority...)
I react to your rhythm and your consonants and sense an engine working.

i liked the final coupled the most. Fusing future with past, just got to love that idea.

The merging of what was and what can be... very neat, tumblewords. I like how you think!

I like the way you string the words. Beautifully done to reflect on the prompt "deja vu".

Lilac is one of those scents that always cause me to have a feeling of deja-vu, remembering the giant flowering lilac bush in the front yard of my youth.

I love the fractal, it reminds me of a fanciful golden cocktail, more of a magical potion than a mere drink.

it's amazing what a familiar scent can conjure....this was excellent, as always...

Yeah, we are often reminded by some things like scents conjuring strangely familiar thoughts from nowhere. and then we ask, where did all these come from? deja vu.

I wish you well.
