Haiku for One Single Impression

One Single Impression posts:
As we enjoy the official beginning of this season, our prompt is spring.

rain loosens the soil
massages swelling seed pods
pliant greens

ides of March
chill north wind beckons
corn snow falls

snowbirds circle
inspect old neighborhood
vacant houses

I haven't planted - just dreaming. I'm still covered in snow here. Haven't seen color since last summer and mostly I just take what the birds plant...not much of a gardener OR a cook. Sigh.

These haiku match our crazy weather today. The snow hasn't melted off our deck yet!

I love the image of pliant greens. Beautiful.

Rain massaging seed pods is so descriptive. I can just feel the warm rain splating.

I love that first one, being a gardener who can hardly wait until the snow goes.
Lovely poems
