rain loosens the soil
massages swelling seed pods
pliant greens

ides of March
chill north wind beckons
corn snow falls

i haven't planted anything because i am still waking up to frost.. how is it you so much farther north are already talking about seed pods?????
I haven't planted - just dreaming. I'm still covered in snow here. Haven't seen color since last summer and mostly I just take what the birds plant...not much of a gardener OR a cook. Sigh.
These haiku match our crazy weather today. The snow hasn't melted off our deck yet!
I love the image of pliant greens. Beautiful.
Rain massaging seed pods is so descriptive. I can just feel the warm rain splating.
It is already summer here. Delhi has no spring to speak off!
Love these haiku.
BTW, your link at OSI takes us to the SS post!
reverently renewed
I love those! I especially liked these lines:
massages swelling seed pods
and
inspect old neighborhood.
I love the old neoghborhoos and vacant houses. A vivid pic in my mind. Terrific!
Wonderful haikus for Spring! Thank you for visiting and commenting at my post! The fractals are marvelous.
I love that first one, being a gardener who can hardly wait until the snow goes.
Lovely poems
