Change

The first prompt for One Single Impression is change.

**

north swells
south land deflates
snowbirds

**

empty nest
untouched dust
dreams travel

**

spring's puffs
reach the forest
cedars dance

A new place to visit for inspiration! Thanks! I'm always amazed at the vibrance in your fractals. One day I'd like to learn to do that.

This fractal is gorgeous.

The poems are exactly the experience of this day in March. Beautiful!

These are beautiful, but I am sure I would appreciate them more if I knew what a fractal was :)

I am so surprised by the excitement I have been feeling when I read your poems. I understand them, I can actually identify with them. From such a heavy math and computer background, never reading poetry, never writing it: this is so exciting and is giving wonderful meaning to Sunday nights for me. The snowbirds here arrive with the winter, leave with the spring. I never thought about the rest: where they come from, the "balance" of the world.

The 2nd is important to me because I am reading a book about owls and there is a lot of discussion about their nests and the phases of nesting. I just finished a similar saga about geese. The empty nest and dust are such sad lost dreams for the birds. They feel the loss.

And the third? Well, hopefully my cedar trees will dance soon if those warmer breezes begin!
My change is here. Thank you.

being from south florida the first one really rings the bell for me... snowbirds.. the blessing and the curse....

I adore that last one very much - it is so concise and absolutely clear - but they all are well done. And that image!

i live in florida too, so, like paisley, i instanty thought of our transient northern population who pay us a visit each winter trying to escape the cold.

they're leaving now... just in time for the bikers to arrive for the next round of fun.

I think I must be the only alien here so far. For me, there is a beautiful, magical yearning in the poetry that hides behind our Oz face of Autumn.

Lovely!
