when loneliness
becomes a friend
and crazy lives next door
the rising past drops
circles into circles while
present rings the dark
black knots of crows
shadow slap the night
and glad leaves not a trace

Wow-- that really went over my head.
I liked it, though.
Oh How I love those first three lines! Very creative poem. :)
You have me pegged! Wonderful!
"present rings the dark," throws me, but the rest really got me. terrific images, and the picture i get of crows shadow slapping the night is just great.
That loneliness can be so all-embracing.
Wonderfully done.
Oh wow....so beautiful and deep. So much said in so few words! I really enjoyed the thinking this made me do.
