Tanka for 3WW

ThomG, moderator of 3 Word Wednesday, offers today's prompt: nightmare, vanity, incubate

sudden reflections
incubate in dark of soul
birthplace of nightmares
echoing those buried faults
shake up vanity and fear

Cool stuff. "Echoing those buried faults" is such a great line. Cool picture, too.

Although this isn't one of my favorite images, I'm intrigued by the way it straddles the line between fun (colorful!) and mysterious (those eyes!).

Maybe it's those "buried faults" one sees in those fractal eyes...

Closet skeletons casting fear and loathing on the ego. Our poor fragile innards. Nice brainscape you've sketched!

That is such a cool fractal this week.

The poem has a Vincent Price feel to it, very dark but also elemental.

The image sharpened the feel of echoing buried faults somehow for me. Excellent write on the prompt.
