O for ABC Wednesday

ABC WEDNESDAY ROUND 5: O

Outstanding

Clad in autumn tones, a lone tree stands out in the October crowd.

It's far more common to see a small copse of aspen and quite unusual to find only a singleton or two.

A most outstanding aspen corpse and O post.

Isn't this a much better way for the aspen to stand out and be noticed for its amazing beauty?

Outstanding orange October tree! Isn't it remarkable that a tree, which is apparently in a dying season, shows its most glorious colours before losing all its leaves.

Wonderful tree, so beautifully caught by your camera!

Thanks for stopping by at my O post!

Kisses from Nydia.

PS: Hope you manage to watch the whole Star Wars series (although I think the old ones from the 70s much better...)!

You are right it is outstanding and quite a show-off. Nature put in in a wonderful spot and gave it a beautiful golden coat:)

Oh, that's beautiful!

Brings back some great memories of our holiday, too - we saw a lot of aspens and they just glow, don't they? I kept trying to capture the effect of the lone aspen, too, because we did see a few, but it was difficult. They always seem to appear in a spot where you can't stop a car!

The beautiful color of this single tree is so much more dramatic than a whole grouping of them--it certainly does stand out!

the odd singleton - a seed long dropped by a passing bird perhaps
