Dearest Tumblewords!
I loved all three of these--
The rocks--
The radio stories--
and the player piano--
Very evocative and sweet--
Thank you!
These little gems just opened up whole vistas in my mind's eye!
I thank you for your kind comment. I love the haiku about the rocks especially but I like them all.
Loved your take on this prompt Sue and the photo, so very special. I wanted a rock tumbler 'big time' but never got one. I did however get a Pillsbury bake set, remember those!!!! No wonder I ended up being a cookbook author, eh?
Big hugs, G
Boy, did these bring back memories! Good poems, Sue/
I enjoyed these very much. That last one made me smile. My grandmother had a player piano, and she played the real deal. I wonder if those paper rolls inspired her!
i cna relate to that tumbling can! and that is a priceless photo
Beautiful words, all, but I really liked the middle one.
Such a lovely photo. I always wanted rock tumbler but never had one.
Quartz crystal radios and paper rolls - very concrete and evocative. I must have had a deprived childhood over here on the other side of the pond as i don't recall 'rock tumblers'!
rock tumblers and player pianos.... never had a sky quarts,,, but i am off to google right this moment to check it out...
love the memories......
this gave me the chills for some odd reason... possibly the remembrance... it is beautiful and especially so the photo... happiness flowing over, possibly..
Oh my god -- Sky King (and Penny too). What a way to be transported through time! Thank you so very, very much.
Very Nice! Loved every bit of it.
I remember Sky King. Thank you.
The connection of shared childhood memories bides us all together!
Interesting poem. Made me work a bit - which is all to the good.
