Re-Sent for Big Tent

Wordle word prompt from Big Tent Poetry:
resent, praise, hungry, milk, cough, dull, stars, dangerous, comfort, part, dark

Re-Sent

stars draw pictures on the night
with a cough of milky light
into the shadows dark

creating comfort art to dull
the dangerous fear that strikes
within the midnight black

dawn gives rise to a longing
a hunger for a greater space
a stellar sky and a sudden breeze

she offers prayerful praise
for dark shadows calmed when
stars draw pictures on the night

Fractal image.

I like how you comment in the second stanza about our lack of comfortableness with the void, the dark...commenting on our collective fear of nothingness. I like your metaphor of the milky light coughed onto the dark canvas of night in the first stanza. Well done.

Nothing more comforting that a clear, star filled night sky, especially with a full moon.

Beautiful images (the ones Nicole said all caught me, too) -- effective repetition of first and last line.

I love that opening stanza, and the piece is complemented so well by the fractal.

I love "dark shadows calmed" -- such a powerful image. there is such a difference when the stars are visible.
