Very enigmatic.
All that hammering, just to attract a mate. Seems like it might scare her away. I enjoyed your beautiful image and poem.

His sense of music may attract her, though not his sense of instruments!
hello tumble... indeed there is nothing so intriguing as the sound of a woodpecker...
I often wonder how the feathery swines manage to do that all day long without getting concussion!!!
Rhythm he has, this drummer so insistent! I could hear the staccato notes in your words.
I think I heard him here, too. What guys won't do to impress the ladies!
Susan,Beautiful. I love woodpeckers. What interesting birds.Pamela
I love that its so simple, so enigmatic. Instead of using the word, you created a poem that was the word!
I love how this little guy expends so much time and energy in hopes of finding love! Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my "Enigma" too. See you on the prompts!
Oh that's really a unique and mysterious way for a woodpecker to seek for a mate!Simple but the message is well said Sue!Good morning from the Philippines!
