Senryu for One Single Impression

One Single Impression offers the prompt: Tactile

caressing lines
cross newborn belly
crone's palm

amulet
lustrous as crow's wing
pocket stone

The image began as a watercolor and was morphed into what you see by using several different programs (Digital Image Suite, Irfanview, FrameFun) and playing for a long time. I like what transpired, although I still like the original.

Hi Sue, I learn a lot from you. Your massaged water color came out really fine looking. I believe I was there early this spring. :-)

More great words, and that painting is excellent.

The images of eternity in the first one and of fleeting time in the second are stirring. Do our amulets guarantee a sort of flight? I think so.

Wow..nice imagery and work here-

I particularly like the second one, Sue; I can feel the smooth, shiny, worn stone. I've carried a few like that (none black however).

by the by, I love all the art work that you do, and have been fascinated to read your descriptions of how they are created. You have inspired me to try some digital art of my own (such as the one for this weeks post). Now I just need to get something better than MS Paint to work with!

Hello Tumblewords~ Both poem and artwork is beautiful. Though I'm sure your artwork took longer to come to life than the poem did. Well done. Hope all is well. Have a nice night.

The artwork is amazing. I really like the feel of the painting/photo and I see the inspiration of the poetry within the image.

Beautiful art--

But the words really grabbed me (in a good way!)--crone's hand on newborn belly...lines of connection. Wow.

Everything about this is simply striking. Your output is inspiring. When I look at your images in particular I think they must have taken you weeks to do because they are so polished, and then I realise you have completed them in a couple of days. WOW.

The amulet image has a medieval flavour which I love!

This is amazing .. the photo is mysteriously altered, but I am so in love with the poem, as they both touch on something wonderful mysteriously --- I love how you touched me with the first touch ...

"crone's palm" ... indeed!
