Poem for 3WW

ThomG at 3WordWednesday offers these words for today's prompt: nervous, bicker and trajectory.

Addiction

feeding the eventide
nervous fits of bicker
rise from a root cellar
pocked with rubble

bloody friction
breeds tight as moss
beside the end trajectory
and still, they wrangle

Original watercolor by Tumblewords, resized in Irfanview and framed in FrameFun.

It is as I can feel the itch of the affliction when I read this.

this feels like a disfunctional relationship that will not end.

These dark words paint, for me, the horror of Joseph Fritzl. As seemingly obtuse as that may seem, it hit me like yesterday's headlines!

Makes me think of the people in the squat and the needles they left behind - I don't know why!

A dark assessment of relationships. Powerful and so often true, sadly.

excellent image and poem, dark and compelling - each powerful on their own - a perfect symbiosis together

I can feel the distress. They need to rise from the situation. The pic is perfect for the theme...

I wanted to cry out 'why don't they end it then?' .... very powerful. I love how you have made each word count, and the painting above it is fantastic- just as dramatic!
Really liked this, thank you.

I was surprised by the tone of your poem, but I think it goes well with your painting.

I've seen it up close and that was so powerful it made me queasy. Fantastic!

This poem conjured claustrophobic images for me. It's a good complement to the painting.

Ooh nice....it does breed as tight as moss! Wonderful structure of both painting and poem!
