Kokopelli for ABC Wednesday

ABC Wednesday has arrived at the letter K. Thank you, Denise Nesbitt!

Kokopelli flutes
sings a song of silliness
mischief is his love

When a granddaughter and I visited Arizona, Kokopelli caught her fancy. She's partial to southwest jewelry, gems and folklore so I wasn't surprised when a Kokopelli tat appeared on her inner ankle. If only I weren't scared of needles...

Great K word. I've always found the Kokopelli figure very intriguing. I'm not one for tatoos, though!

I've seen that figure many times but did not know what it was called. Thanks for teaching me something.

Never heard of that before. Reminds me of Pan.

I had to follow your link to Wikipedia for that one - something learned is something gained. Thank you!

Before today I had never heard of Kokopelli, but Grace and Bradley's post was also about this mischieveous character. Lovely word. Great subject for a tattoo. Brave girl!

I brought 4 small pieces of tile as souvenir from a trip I took to Arizona as well -one is the same. This house we built left me know imagination for them? I'd like to make something artsy?
Nice Haiku here-

I like trickster gods (ever since reading Neil Gaiman American Gods series) and loved the stylised picture. You always learn something on ABC Wednesday.

Having grown up in the Southwest US, I'm very fond of Kokopelli and have several pieces of silver with his image. Good "K."

Thanks for your visit.

What is it about Kokopelli that appeals so much to all of us, - his music, and his carefree air perhaps. The figure reminds me of the Pied Piper....

And if only I weren't allergic to so many things! I might have a tattoo as well!

I like your 'K' for kokopelli - that's a nice picture of him.

I developed a appreciation of kokopelli when I lived in AZ. Nice K entry.

I've always had a place in my heart for this Indian character playing his flute to charm native folk wherever he traveled.
Hugs and blessings,
