Black and White for TOPS

a flannel shirt

striped black and white

fine lines planned

nothing left to chance

seasonally stored

behind soft colors

that fabricate

unsure thoughts

sapped by doubt

she slides into

the black and white

decides not to stray

It would be easier for me to comment. I like your poems very much. There would be much to say about this one (self-doubt, well planned life...).

Enjoyed this. Like what is suggests and the rhythm of the read. And for awhile, I wore a lot of flannel shirts even though I'm as urban as they come. :-)

enjoying your new sense of writing... haven't been by much of late... as always absolutely truly love the artwork w/yr post... standing between black n white too long can be disturbing in a quiet sorta way...

Dear Tumblewords,

I like this SO SO much!

You allow my imagination to paint the world and I leap right in.

I suspect that we all can. You give enough clues that all your readers would recognize the Platonic truth of each other's creations, but we all have crafted our own shadows.

Great job.

Thanks.

Tschuess,
Chris

I liked this a great deal. "Seasonally stored" is such an intriguing description, and I love the visualization of sliding into black and white. Great picture for that.

Soft adjectives make a comfortably fitting poem.
