far across the lake
on a rocky sundrenched hill
...the old camping spot

How this conjures up wonderful memories! Well done. You are so fortunate to be able to use your own drawings, it adds so much.

A very nice haiku but I really like your drawing. It is simple but draws the eye right across the lake to the opposite shore.

This stirs up good memories for me as well. My family used to camp near a Sycamore Creek in Arizona. The flowing water and the fragrance of the trees were greatly enjoyed by a little girl. :)

I like your camping spot homecoming verse. Thank you.
Your pretty watercolor drawing appears also to show some isolated ski runs.
Finally you have a nice poem below, I only have two dogs (one you saw), I can imagine having three. Perhaps I could have counted the neighbor's.

I like revisiting spots/places I've been, even short trips, your poems refill that idea in me, must have been a great trip

Actually, it's the slide area east of Bayview. Probably visible from Garfield, though! Good eye!

As always Sue, this is wonderful. You make my heart long to go camping with my little guys once more. Oh how life flies by but then our true homecoming awaits. Great to read your work again.
Lovely pen ink sketch.
