Road Re-Traveled

Into the mirror of hindsight
I squinted toward the past
rapidly edited my errata
squeaky cleaned my life
to reflect memoir bright
...returned to the present
laughed out loud
even with the handy mirror
I didn’t get it precisely right.

the past is like the written word,, so easily edited to provide the most bang for the buck... this was lovely....

I've just found this wonderful poem. As someone with a reasonable store of hindsight, I loved the idea of looking 'into the mirror of hindsight', editing errata and a 'squeaky cleaned' life.
